SOE - In-Person - Grade 4 - Willowdale Campus

The
Grade 4 curriculum solidifies many concepts from earlier grades with
a weekly 1.5-hour class. In this grade, students construct and
understand increasingly complex sentences, review and consolidate their editing, writing and
presentation skills, and are introduced to new topics such
as debates. Their knowledge of punctuation, grammar, and sentence
structure is deepened, and they are introduced to more technical
qualities of the English language. Students have more sophisticated
novels, memory work, and group presentations that build and strengthen
their time management, social, and communication skills. Cursive writing,
drills, poetry, short stories, treasure hunt and speeches continue to be key components.
